How does bandwidth work?

(VPS FAQ)

Each VPS comes with a monthly bandwidth quota. This is a soft cap -- if you exceed your bandwidth quota you will not be shut off. Instead you will be billed at a rate of $0.40/GB transferred. The bandwidth quota coincides with your billing date for the VPS. So if you signup for a VPS on June 3rd, the traffic is counted from June 3rd - July 3rd, and resets back to zero on July 4th.

You may view graphs of your bandwidth usage as well as see actual bandwidth used and the percentage of your quota in your account control panel.
