About Password Protection

Our password protection tool offers standard .htaccess based password protection, that allows you to protect any folder in your account. When a visitor tries to access a password protected folder, a window will pop up asking them to login. If they cannot provide the correct login, they will not be able to gain access.

You can have as many Username and Password sets per directory as you would like. Doing so will create the following files in the directory that you are protecting:

.htaccess

.htpasswd

Once you have set up the protection, do not remove or alter these files as your sites password protection may be compromised.
