A mailing list is an email service that allows to you create and maintain a long list of email recipients. Once created, you can send a single email to the defined list address and the list program then distributes the email to every subscribed address. Mailman is a popular and fully functional mailing list platform that includes a web based management tool.

Domain - If you have more than one domain on your account, you will be asked to select under which domain the list should be created. The selected domain will appear after the @ sign in the list address.

Password and Password (Again) - Enter your desired list password twice or generate a new password by clicking on the Password Generator button. If manually entering a password, you must consider the Password Strength Indicator.

Access Type - Please select Public or Private.

Private — Private list have private archives. The administrator must approve subscriptions, and the Mailman interface does not publicly display the mailing list name. A private list makes sense for private one way communications with your subscribers.

Public — Public archives exist for this mailing list. The subscriptions are open and the Mailman interface displays the list name publicly. This is appropriate for open discussion type lists.
